Do you know any good bridal jewlery distributors. What do I need to get my business off the ground?
I am starting a bridal business and I am having a very hard time finding good distributors. I need to know what I need on my end to be able to purchase and see jewlery and eventually other bridal needs. Please help I need step by step instructions. Thanks a bunch!

In the midwest, there is a Retail Jewelers Association (RJO) located in Grinnell, Iowa. I am positive there are similar organizations in other areas of the country. Your very best bet would be to attend the bridal jewelry shows where hundreds of companies gather their distinct styles & high quality diamonds in an effort to become your supplier. Regional organizations sponsor these "fairs" and membership is required to attend.
Start your research on line for: wholesale bridal shows, regional association of jewelers, American Diamond Society, Gemological Society of America, and gather information regarding wholesale jewelers or even bridal wear wholesalers. They may have another arrangement with a wholesale jewelry company that could prove to be the best place to start your business.
Have you taken the time to become educated in opening a small business? It's not as simple as a local ice cream parlor that sells nothing but sundaes & cones. Check with the Small Business Administration for guidance before committing to any contract with any supplier. Your question seems too broad to me, which causes the appearance of no research or guidance being sought by you.
It takes many small businesses 10 to 15 years to gain a reputable presence in their location. It may require the same amount of time to become even remotely profitable. Take to some businesses in smaller locations. I can suggest 2 great sources in DeWitt, Iowa; Neckers Jewelry & A Storybook Ending, (bridal shop). Both businesses are extremely reputable with high quality products and highly trained staff. Check them out on the web.
