Which type of veil do you like best? Cathedral? Finger length?
Im trying to decide on which type to get for my wedding.
The type of veil depends on you dress, your hair, your face, and how formal your wedding is. If you have a simple but very formal gown, a longer more elaborate veil will go nicely. If your dress is busy with beading and embroidery, or if it is poofy (for lack of a better word!) go with a shorter simpler veil. Also, many brides are opting to wear flowers in their hair or pretty hair clips instead of veils.
I personally do *not* like the ones worn over the face. They just remind me too much of mosquito nets. lol!
My veil is a bit longer than finger-length. (Maybe it's supposed to be finger length, but it's longer 'cause i'm so short!) When I went shopping for dresses I was completely against the idea of wearing any type of veil at all. But because the dress I chose is very non-traditional, I decided to get the veil to make me look like a bride. It's perfect!
