I don't Know if the Antibiotics are working...?
Ok so i got an ear infection (also known as ottis media) and its all puffed up and red and inflammed according to the doctor, so i got some antibotics and i had to take a double dose in the first day and one pill for the next 5 days. Well it is day 3 and i have no relief, i have some pain and fullness of the ear. Sometimes in the middle of the night i wake up and i feel the pressure going away and my ear pops abunch and it hurts but then it feels relieved but as soon as go back to sleep i wake up and its back to the way it used to be. any insight to this would be VERY nice. I do not recall the name of the pill they are long skinny red pills and they end in can its amilican or something like that
it sounds like you are on zithromax. You take a double dose on day one, then a pill a day for 4 days. It stays in your system until day 10. It takes some time for them to work. You might want to try doing a sinus flush. You can get them at any pharmacy. It will help relieve the pressure and get things moving. (I know you're talking about ears, but the sinuses are involved too). Hope you feel better soon.
