How many clothes do I need? Of each: regular outifts, comfy/lounge outfits, onesies, comfy pants...etc?

Baby Girl is due the beginning of October so the winter will be setting in soon after. It's my first, but I know babies are messy and don't need many "going out oufits" but I don't really know what quantity I need of these things. I have a "bunting suit" or "snow suit/jacket thing."

How many nice outfits? (sweater/pant combo w/ hat etc)
How many casual outfits? (fleece hoodie/pant combo etc)
How many onesies?
How many socks?
How many sleeping outfits?
How many bibs?

For 0-3, 3-6 and 6-9???

Babies also get their clothes really dirty with things that need to be washed right away (spit-up, pee, poop), so you'll probably be doing laundry every day.

It depends how often you go out. Most moms don't like to expose their new babies to outside germs, so one or two nice outfits are probably enough -- and you may be given those.

If you feed the baby in the fleece hoodie/pants, I'd say get six sets. If it's only for going out, then three should do you.

You can never have too many onesies, though! I'd say six to 10 sets of those per each age.

Socks -- six sets. They don't tend to get dirty, but they do get lost.

Pajamas -- six again. You could possibly get by with four, though.

Bibs. Depends on the baby. While breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, maybe six soft bibs. Once they start eating solids at about six months, you'll want to experiment with the vinyl ones. But at six months, you won't be housebound, so you can get them one at time, see if you like them, and buy more as needed.

Be sure to note where you bought the clothes, and then you can send someone out to buy more for you if you don't have enough.

BTW, you might want to wait to buy most of the stuff after the baby is born -- especially the older stuff. Different colors look great on different babies, and you won't really know until she arrives. Just get the bare minimum for now. Also, look into hand-me-downs. They grow so fast, you may only use the 0-3 stuff a few times.
