should i wear a veil with this dress/tiara?

my hair will be half up - wavy (not curly)
it's VERY long (to lower back) and blonde...
i tried on my veil at my fitting today and i feel like it kinda took away from the dress...
it's cathedral length (a bit longer than the train) and covers up all the detailing in back (though you can see through it...)
but i do love that if i bring it around my shoulders the little rolls we all seem to get under our arms are a lot less noticeable...
what do you think?
no back-rolls, just arm thank god!
i'm actually wondering if it's ok NOT to wear one - the only thing i like is the fat coverage, i'm not sure it works with the dress...
How about this, I agree it takes away from the dress I don't like really long veils so why not wear the veil for a few pictures but for the main event use the tiara since that tiara is GORGEOUS! You have amazing taste and the dress + Tiara are just perfect for eachother! Your right though the veil I just don't think will make the cut! And NO ONE is going to notice if there is (which I am so doubting) fat on your arms! The glow that will be around you on your wedding day and your smile of joy is SO going to be the center of attention!
