How do you bustle Maggie Sottero Victoriana Wedding Dress?
I need help! I have the Victoriana style wedding dress from Maggie Sottero (http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?keywordText=victoriana&line=m&keywordType=any&page=0&pageSize=8&style=J1082) and it doesn't seem to have any hidden buttons or hooks for a bustle. The only thing it came with was a long ribbon, probably three quarters of an inch thick by two feet long that almost looks like the tie on the back of the dress.
I was told by the shop I ordered it from that they could either bustle it under or up so that the crystals on the back bottom come up to the top, but I'm really confused as to how this happens. Am I going to have the have the person doing the alterations sew in hooks or does the mysterious ribbon have something to do with all of this? If anyone at all could help I would really really appreciate it!!
I would take it back to the bridal shop and ask them. When you do be sure to take your maid of honor - she is going to be the one who has to bustle the dress and it can get kind of complicated. It's best if you have her practice at the bridal shop - I know my maid of honor was glad that she did.
