Anyone make their own bridal hairpiece?

Got any tips for me? I have a hot glue gun, feathers, fake flowers, plastic combs....Just looking for ideas or real life experiences.
feathers as in small ones. i am going for a vintage feel. we're not talking large, super tall feathers.
