Is Alrite to wear white to a friend bridal shower / party?

So I'm Arab, but also the rule not to wear White Wedding somone applies to us too. But im wondering on the opinions of other people, would it be weird to wear white to a wedding. See our premarital not as normal, we have all the festivities start and all that you dress up before marriage. For the wedding im wearing pink and black, but for the shower, I have this new dress I really want to wear a skirt above her White Satin pencil and Baby Blue, white heels. I went to accessorize with white satin gloves, but I think it's a little to much. is so weird to wear a skirt to wear a Wedding Party?
