How marriages work where you are?

I'm curious to see how marriages work in other places. Where I come from, we usually have the ceremony in a church and reception in the hall or hotel ballroom. We have dinner, speeches, Couples first dance, dance girl's father, mother and son dance dancing bridal party. Then everyone dancing and partying hard until 1-2am. During the evening there is the boquet throw, tossing the garter, cake cutting and sometimes silly games, sometimes the chicken dance (we do not do this). The bride may change halfway through the night in a dress that is easier to dance or stay in her dress all night. Then at the end of the night the couple left in their wake and family cleans decorations. The next open day is open / gifts in a hotel or a house. It is the food and the couple opened their gifts and a final visit to guests of the city. What if the job where you are, ceremony, reception, bridal wear, day etc. I'm really curious.

Thus, in Russia, where I come from, the church would not marry a couple at least to have a civil ceremony first. It is also the authority issuing the certificate of marriage (the church does not give you one). Then everyone will take a ride around the city, flowers on various monuments) and taking tons of pictures. There is a rule - the new husband must carry his wife across the 7 bridges to be happy. Therefore, they lead to the search for 7 bridges and the husband carries his wife through them (regardless of the duration of these bridges). Then there is a reception. Depending on how much money families - it is either the restaurant or in one apartment of one of the parents. Cookies used to organize various fun games for the bride and groom (and parents give the newlyweds a loaf of bread and they have take a big bite without touching it, hands-spouse by taking a larger bite - will head the new family). Also from time to time someone will say, the taste of food or drink bitter! You must be sweet! This is the signal for the bride and groom to stand up and start kissing. And everyone yells "bitter and sour!" and they have asked how long the kiss. Lot of dancing and fun. The newlyweds did not leave the party for honeymoon. They left at the end (sometimes 2 or 3 days)
