I am curious to know if anyone had a good experience buying your dress online. Bad experiences welcomed, too.
I was flipping through magazines and I could not take my eyes off this beautiful dress, Justina McCaffrey (Jubilate) a year before the big day. I fell in love with it! I called the bridal shops around my area and found one that carried it, as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one! The sales lady said it was a whopping $6,000!!
I was so sadden since I really really wanted it, but I couldn't afford that price...so I went online, and I was really lucky to find someone on www.preownedweddingdress.com with the same exact dress, (yes, she wore it for her wedding, but it was cleaned & looked brand new), for a more affordable $2,500 with shipping costs. AND it was in the right size, it was eerie the seller is exactly my height and ethnicity..and same size in shoe. Which she provided both shoes and veil in the deal. I bought it online from her instantly and I personally feel good about it since I gave the bride some money back for her dress, freed up some of her closet space, got brand-new looking designer dress, saved a bunch of money, and helped the environment on top of it all with all that fabric that doesn't need to be produced again! I had to give myself a pat on the back.
I was so happy that I actually bought a reception dress (ceremony dress is too big to dance in), from the the same site, this time, a mermaid styled Maggie Sottero, for a GREAT discount as well. Different seller, but same size and everything. When both of them were delivered, I was so delighted! Both transactions were so easy and painless, it was strange to hear other people warning me that buying dresses online are bad, I find it funny that the sales lady almost sold me the SAME dress for almost twice the price. My experience was an A+.
